A Wrench in the Works

It turns out I need a TI-83 calculator for Statistics. Hmmm.

It looks like I'll be having to buy my PS3 stuff used. :/

I've always been one to oppose the used games industry because it doesn't support the developers... but what else can I do?

Where to Start

Been kind of busy as of late. School started back up. However, it doesn't appear to be as bad as my last semester. Hopefully I won't be bombarded with tons of assignments (Outside of normal assignments of course). Business Communications is a waste of time and tuition, in my opinion. A class dedicated to learning how to send e-mails correctly! It's basically English: Business Edition. Biology is going to be fun, I think. It's been about seven years since I took a Biology class. Statistics seems a little interest but I haven't really put much time into it. World Literature started off pretty well. At least, I would say so. It's an online class that has a discussion board for participation on our assignments. The first assignment was "Individuals vs. Society in Movies and Books." My instructor mentions Fight Club as one of his favorites, so I reply to remind him of the first and second rules of fight club which eventually spiraled into half of the class posting quotes from the movie. Good times.

Getting a lot of money from my grant this time around. Just in time for the PS3's price drop. I'm planning on getting one when the money arrives. I await my family to trip balls when I spend the money on it, though. I know my sister was hinting at me giving her $500 to help pay off a loan to help with Christmas. Of course, I told right away that I probably wouldn't have that much (Which turned out to be the opposite), but seeing as how I'm unemployed right now, it wouldn't be feasible. I'm relying on half of this money to pay bills until I find work, but I still anticipate the declaration of my irresponsibility for wanting to buy over $400 in VIDYA GAMES of all things. Because, as we all know, VIDYA GAMES are for children! No doubt it will get interesting when the check arrives. I guess I could always say that it will benefit the family as a whole since it is a Blu-Ray player.

In FFXI, nothing too stellar going on. Been whittling away at DRG with poor results. I'm hoping to get to 70 soon so I could at least leech a merit party off of the ventrilo.

My School Schedule!

For future reference for all of you:

Two Online Classes:

Business Statistics I
World Literature II

Two Brick and Mortar Classes:

Business Communication(Tuesdays 5PM-10PM Central)
Biology Thursday 5:30PM-8:30PM Central)

I'm hoping this semester will be nicer to me than last semester. Last semester was a lot of fun at first, but around February, it turned into a constant bombardment of papers. D:

Let's Just Forget About School for a Moment

Fall term started today, but let's not think about it now.

Assy sent me this yesterday and I find it hilarious.

Camping Registration

I set my alarm for 8:00 AM today to snipe the good classes before they were taken. I had a problem with this last semester because I slept to 3PM thinking I would be okay. At any rate, I successfully registered for all of the classes I intended to register for.

That's right, I camped School Registration. Do you know what it dropped?

$1800 in tuition fees and books. D:

Runic Key!

Special thanks to everyone that helped us out!

MANLY TEARS

If you can watch this all the way through without shedding a single tear, then you are a greater person than me.

Freedom!

As of writing this blog post, I'm officially unemployed.

I quit my job today. Fall semester starts a week from Monday. I cannot feasibly work every evening and attend my night class(es). Not that it matters anyway, because they would have fired me anyway because I would have to take the night(s) off to go to class. My sister begrudgingly offered to work those night(s) for me. However, seeing as how she has a full time job already, I knew she didn't want to work even more.

I was originally intending to work this coming week, then quit, but my former boss pulled me over to the side the other night to tell me that I'm not "working fast enough." This struck a nerve because I was essentially doing two shifts of dishes in the time span of about three hours. Because they're two cheap to have a dishwasher there full-time, I have to wash the leftover dishes from the lunch rush as well as dishes that accumulated in the afternoons before I clocked in.

I'll miss the money, of course, but as Chewzer made a valid point earlier: The job wasn't worth it to begin with. I'll also miss a few of my co-workers.

Looks like I won't be getting that PS3 after all because I'll be using the remainder of my grant check to pay the bills until I get a new job. Hopefully it won't be too long. I know that I can pretty much get any job at the casino as soon as it becomes available (that I qualify for, of course). Let's just say that I have friends in high places. Or should I say, my sister has friends in high places.
