A Limmerick

There was once a Tarutaru named Tijet.
Who was in sky but not at Kirin yet.
It was time for bids.
And put up 1250, he did.
In hopes for a Wyrmal Abjuration GET.

Anubius fought bravely.
Despite the situation being gravely.
Once Kirin fell,
He gave out a yell
For Kirin's spoils were grandly.

We all celebrated.
For the moment he had awaited
Had finally come,
And he wasn't at all glum
For he knew this was fated.
He wanted a photo,
But to do so without proper clothes would be loco.
So he did some campagin,
Amongst all the laggin'
He obtained his Iron Ram Hauberk and was all gung-ho.

Blog Post Before Bed
Don't expect any pictures from this one because I'm far too tired to bother cutting/pasting/saving/uploading/et cetera.
In RL news, I've returned to work! My week off is officially over and I'm experiencing mixed feelings. I'm happy because this means moar monies, yet it also means putting up with... my boss...
Speaking of my boss, it's been two weeks since I've been paid. I should have received my pay check for my work two weeks prior. I understand that it was the fourth and people like to take a vacation, but when you run a business, paychecks are kind of a priority. It's not like he has to do anything! He uses Quicken (or a similar program) to do all the calculations for him.... Is it really that hard? As soon as I have the chance, I'm leaving this awful place...
On a happier note, my new cell phone finally arrived. And I LURVES it. I've been dying for a phone with a QWERTY keypad for messaging, but the fact that this has a touchscreen makes it that much better. I like to call it the iPhone -1.
In the WORLD OF TEH VIDYA, I received an email from Nintendo today. For those that don't know, NoA finally created a North American Club Nintendo (Japan and Europe have had one for quite some time now) last fall. For those of you out of the loop, Club Nintendo is a customer rewards program. Since I'm a Nintendo Fanboy, I hastily registered as soon as the site launched. Basically, for Club Nintendo, you buy a Nintendo product and register it online for Coins, the Club Nintendo currency. These coins are redeemed for lots of neat things such as Wii Remote holders, DS Game/Styli holders, DS game racks, and a DS game (Game & Watch Collection) that is exclusive to Club Nintendo). I've had my eye on the Mario themed Hanafuda cards (For those of you that don't know, Nintendo was founded as a card game company and Hanafuda was their key product).
Anyway, to the point. I attained "Gold Status" easily because I was able to redeem some of the games I registered long before Club Nintendo opened. Basically, after you hit certain milestones for the Club Nintendo Year (I believe it's June-May every year), you receive a free prize for becoming an "Elite Status" member for that Club Nintendo Year. Platinum members get to choose between a special version of Punch Out!! in which your sole opponent is Doc Louis (And is downloaded via the Wii Shop Channel) or a real life replica of Mario's hat. Gold members get a Nintendo themed desk calender. So, I guess that's pretty cool. Free stuff is usually a good thing.
In the world of Vana'diel, I attained level 65! My Polearm skill is a little low (215 when it should be 227), but my polearm merits help out a ton. Regardless, I want to cap it out before I seek for party again. Another thing worth noting is that I have access to Wheeling Thrust now. I can't wait to take DRG up to sky so I can play with it again the sky gods.
I'm looking at you, Suzaku!

This is a Post
Let's start this off on a happy note:

DERG IS LEVEL 60! Are you people convinced that I'm intending to take it to 75 now?!
On a serious note, I have been doing a bit of research on my Derg, and it seems that I need to level BLU to 37 for Derg solo. I am really dreading this, but I can only imagine how useful it can be.
Second, the new add-on scenario's trailer was posted today. It's becoming clear that this add-on is not going to follow the route of ACP. It looks like Square-Enix is sacrificing SERIOUS BUSINESS plot for a light-hearted, fun-filled plot. I welcome this. After all, we have the Moogle equivalent of the Squirtle Squad.
Third, see if you can point out the problem in this screenshot:

Go ahead and look at it closely. I'll give you a few minutes.
...
Done? Still don't get it? Why don't you look at this important context clue:

Finally, everyone's favorite part of the blog post. (Not really.)

Busy Busy Busy!
Between work and other things, it seems like my time on FFXI has been severely restricted... It's not that I work often, it's just the times that I work. It more or less restricts my time in the afternoon. When I come home at night, I usually get something to eat and shower. This usually has me logging on right as one of my events is about to start. Anyway, on to business!
I've been slowly working on Dragoon. As of right now, it is level 53. I have yet to get a 50+ party, so I haven't had any experience with Penta Thrust or Super Jump outside of solo experiences. In fact, it wasn't even aware that I had Super Jump until I saw it in my job ability list. I am a little upset over having to level sync constantly because I've shelled out all of this gil for equipment such as Spiked Finger Gauntlets and I can't even use them. Also, it would be nice to experience Penta Thrust in a party environment so I can gauge my accuracy and adjust my gear accordingly.
Since my Dragoon is over level 50, I have been working on my artifact armor. Disco and I spent one evening farming coffers while attempting to skill up. Treasure Hound was a Kupower during that week, so we would often show up, kill two or three mobs, and have to relocate because the key dropped. However, this doesn't mean that my coffer experiences were pleasant. Kuftal Tunnel was especially annoying for me because of my own sheer stupidity. I forgot to flag the key item in the coffers in Kuftal not once, but twice. So, I had to pop three coffers. I'm the proud owner of the Challenge to the Royal Knights key item, the map to Kuftal Tunnel, and 11,000 Gil. As of right now, I have all of my artifact armor with the exception of the helm. I am a bit sad that I can't solo the NMs because I have to actually be on Dragoon to pop it. So, don't expect me to QQ for help until I actually need it.
On to Tinnindepedence Day. I am worried that I will not be able to complete my Tinnin pop. However, I still plan to be there. As far as I know, I don't have to work on the fourth, so I will do everything in my power to be there and help out. It would be awesome if someone was willing to let me have an Alkylorups, but I totally understand if they wouldn't. 10M-15M is too hard to pass up, after all.
I have also been working on my Wings of the Goddess Missions. I have yet to tackle the mission quests for Windurst since the update. However, with the recent announcement of Northlands and the continuation of the main storyline (Lilisette!), I am motivated to get this done. Last night, Shuri, Disco, Dynas, Chewzer, and Arwocky helped me out with the miniature battlefield in Fort Karugo-Narugo for The Long March North. Let me say this: The cutscene before and after the fight were phenominal. The concluding cutscene actually made me tear up slightly. As of right now, I'm working on the second mission of the set: The Forbidden Path. It's a very annoying little quest in which I must go all over the world (both past and present). There's three branches: One requires a bottled fairy, one requires a testimony, and one requires me to click on an object in Horutoto. I have a PLD testimony in my inventory, so I'm set for two of the three branches. So, that leaves the fairies. I've been attempting to farm the fairies before work, but it doesn't look like I'll be successful. The Yagudo Scribes in West Sarutabaruta [S] are very stingy. In essence, I am searching frantically for fairies... I feel like a certain someone...

In conclusion: TEE EFF TEW SCREENSHOTS

The Masta Pran
A brog post with some actual substance. Here is my plan of action for the forseeable future (In no particular order):
Dynas has told me that he doesn't mind if we climb without him, but I don't like the idea because I think this would be his only opportunity to climb. Nevertheless, I'm going to bring it up tomorrow and see what the others think, but I'm sure we will vote on waiting for him. He should be back in a week or so.
In RL news, I don't like my job. I'm a dishwasher at this diner close to home. It's convenient that I can easily walk to and from work, but the job itself is incredibly annoying. For starters, my boss drives me insane. He won't actually tell me how to do my job; he just points out that I'm not doing it right. I've basically been taught how to do my job from my coworkers because my boss refuses to tell me anything. On my first day, I spent half of my shift just learning where everything goes because he wouldn't tell me.
Also, I have quite a hilarious story. On my way home from work, I am sending Disco a text. Now, I wear glasses because I'm basically blind without them. As I am sending the text, I glance up. At this point, I'm not looking through the lenses, so I'm seeing with my naked eyes. I see this bright oval shaped light. So, I start tripping out because I think it's a UFO or something. I immediately move my head up so I can view it with my glasses on, and it's the new blimp that the Wind Creek Casino bought for the sake of advertising.
- Take Smithing to 60.
- Take Alchemy to 76.
- Floor 100 for Nyzul Isle.
- Quest my Derg AF - I have pretty much all the keys now. Lost my QSC key, but I can easily get a new one.
- Take Polearm to level 8 - I'm @4 with 2 merits currently on my person.
- Get a Swift Belt - I have a pop item on my person.
- Take Derg to 75.
- Obtain N. Body.
- Work on a Tinnin pop set - This must be done before Independence Day!

First FFXI Post!
I created this blog to create an archive of my FFXI activities, yet I have posted none until now!

I have been working on leveling Dragoon. I have leveled a tank job, a mage/pet job, and two mage jobs, so I am wanting to level a job that deals damage. I must say that I love it so far. It's kind of fun not having to worry about little things such as buffs, enfeebles, and things of that sort. My job in a party is to just deal damage, so it's a nice change of pace.

Also, since I have been leveling Dragoon, I have been working my polearm skill on Paladin because I'm sure my polearm skill will fall behind due to level sync parties.
In other news, I have successfully created a Nyzul Isle static. I have been feeling pretty bummed out about my Nyzul progress. I have done all of this hard work on my Paladin lately, but all of the work seems useless without Atonement. Also, since I'm leveling Dragoon, Drakesbane would be kind of nice. The Nyzul static consists of Discojedi, Dynas, Chewzer, Emerican, Leondimas, and myself. We only did two runs and got Chew and Emerican to Floor 5, but our first run was to get used to each other. Disco was not there because he had some real life obligations. Overall, I was very impressed with our work, and we would have won the second run if it wasn't for that lamp floor.
